Brasher

articles

Peter Davison recently contacted us after purchasing his second pair of brasher footwear.

Peter claims he is "not a walker as such" but having never had his brasher boots off his feet for the last 18 months it's fair to say that they've probably covered a fair few miles.
Peter wears his boots for every occasion, the only exception being if he has to attend a funeral, and that is only because they aren't black.

He tells us "These fantastic boots are still as comfortable as the day I purchased them, probably more so, but like all things which are used constantly, they have now unfortunately worn out.
Of course, I have now purchased a replacement pair , which right from the onset, have seemed as comfy as the old pair."

My experience would almost be the same word for word. My first pair were Kamati XCRs. I was extremely disappointed when they were taken off the market and also with the replacement Danso XCRs, not for their lack of comfort which was every bit as good as the Kamatis, but because they did not look as good worn casually. The Dansos stick out a bit more in a work environment than the Kamatis did! I see that the Kamati are back but look slightly different. I hope they will live up to the old Kamati.

Please, please, please bring out the Danso/Kamati in black.

Thanks for your comments Mel.

I can confirm the Kamati XCR® is back! Designed with an additional benefit of memory foam in the collar and tongue for extra comfort but with all the other features still remaining the same.

I will pass on your request of a black colourway to our product team.

Also pleased that the Kamati boot is back! Expressed my concern at the time that such a classic was to be pulled in favour of the stylistically inferior Danso. Never tinker with a classic design!

I have to disagree with the other reviews left here - The Danso boots in my opinion are fantastic and I was sad not to be able to get hold of another pair. They are wonderfully comfortable and are as at home on a night out around town as they are wandering around on Dartmoor. I've since ordered a pair of Kamatis and find them just that little bit too bulky.

I'm firmly in the Danso camp - bring them back !
