Gerald Dowsett and his wife Liz have recently returned from a fantastic walking trip which took them high into the Italian Alps at heights of over 3,300 metres.
Mike got in touch with us as he needed a part for his trusty brasher Hillmaster pole which he was taking with him on his trip. As promised he sent us a couple of photos of how he got on.
"We stayed in the beautiful old 12th Century town of Bornio in Northern Italy where we walked some marvellous routes. The area is a warren of good, excellently marked and graded walking routes and a bonus is that it doubles up as a ski resort in the winter."
The photo below is taken at the head of a valley overlooking St. Moritz on the Swiss side.
