This November sees the return of the annual Kendal Mountain Film Festival. Taking place on 20th and 23rd the festival is an international event which appeals to climbers, film-makers, writers and outdoor enthusiasts.

With a host of speakers including mountaineering expert Reinhold Messner, French climber Catherine Destivelle, American climber, mountaineer, author and filmaker David Breashears as well as American Climber, Steh Davies the line up is impressive.

One of the highlights of the event will be the film competition. With 10 main awards to be won and screening over 60 films, several of which will be premieres the competition is sure to be competitive.

Also taking place is the Book Festival which is another a popular feature of the event.
