An email was recently sent to us from Peter Tanner who in July this year went trekking in Peru, taking in the sights of the Inca Trail and Bolivia. He first got in touch with us for advice as to which footwear would be best suitable for this type of trip.

"I have just returned from 5 weeks in South America and wanted to say how delighted I was with the Towa GTX boots I was recommended. I only bought them 10 days before I left but managed to get a good hilly hike near my home and they were perfect straight from the box. They withstood temperatures ranging from -15 to 30C and never once caused me any discomfort,.

The Levanto shoes I wore for just about everything else that did not justify the Towa boots - on board flights, urban walking, hiking, riding mountain bikes and of course for sitting comfortably in bars and restaurants! The locals seemed fascinated by the eye-catching bright red colour and in the Amazon Basin even a red Howler monkey came to take a look!"

You can see more of the great photos which Peter kindly sent us on our flickr page.
