We received the following email from Mary and Gordon Halford...
"I just thought I would drop you a line to say how pleased we have been with our present boots. We purchased them in Bristol about twenty years ago and they have been worn in almost every country in western Europe and in addition Poland and Czechoslovakia. Worldwide they have been used for hiking in the USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Last year during some long walks through bogs in Scotland some water penetrated through to our socks. We finally decided it was time to replace our boots. As we are both in our early seventies we think our new boots may well last for our remaining hiking days-if not I will write again!"

Curious....I was managing the Brasher Boot business 20 years ago and this boot doesn't come from that period. The only all-leather boot at that time was the (green) Hillmaster

I too own a pair of boots in this style. Mine have been all round the world too.... but are only about 10 years old.. maybe 12. Cant find a Brasher worthy of em. I know how comfy, reliable and faithful they can be. This style must have been a very long suffering design! Any ideas as to what to replace them with. This boot was the Air 8, fell classic series. :0

Thanks for your comments Angie. Glad to hear you've enjoyed many years with your well travelled brasher's.
The nearest boot we manufacture in comparison to the fell classic which you mention is Towa GTX.
