I was lucky enough to wear the new brasher Inca sandals on a recent trip to the foothills of the stunning Atlas mountains in Morocco and they didn't disappoint.

Trekking on average 3-5 miles a day, often over rocky and hilly terrain, they offred superb comfort, especially with the memory foam footbed. The grip was good too, even up at the seven waterfalls where the ground was often wet and slippy.

As for the scenery, the snow covered peaks above us in the heat of the lower ground, was hard to comprehend and was pretty breathtaking. My only grumble was the constant pestering by vendors - I thought I was going to escape the souk selling of Marrakech!

Other than that it was a fantastic trip and the Incas did me proud. I've now recommended that brasher does its next location shoot in the Atlas mountains, but they'll have to get their best bartering hats on before they set off!

On a lovely sunny day - unusual for the end of March - the brasher team headed out to Craster. Starting at the car park we walked a circular six mile route taking us along the coast whilst enjoying the sunshine and glorious scenery.

We found time to stop at the local fish shop to stock up on fresh kippers and fishcakes before heading to The Cottage Inn for a hearty lunch.

With our belly's full of food we set off towards Dunstanburgh Castle, walking part of the way along the beach which again was set against some fantastic scenery.

If you're out and about in Northumberland you should definitely make a point of spending a few hours in this area.

I took my Bolivar XCR boots as my one essential piece of footwear on a recent skiing trip to Chamonix in France and have to say they were absolutely brilliant.

Even worn with just normal socks they kept my feet cosy, warm and of course dry - even when trudging through ankle deep snow! They also looked suitably stylish for hitting the apres ski bars and with such a good grip I even managed not to fall over.

Thanks brasher - a really comfortable, stylish and practical pair of boots. I'd strongly recommend the Bolivar XCR as the perfect and most essential apres ski accompaniment.

High House, Seathwaite, owned by K Shoes was the meeting place of Chris Brasher and Ken Ledward of KLETS back in the 1980's, for their many product testing meetings.

Situated just off the popular valley of Borrowdale in the English Lake District, it was the perfect place for testing boots out on the fell.

In 1986, Chris Brasher and KLETS team of testers took their first footsteps in a brasher fabric boot.
Chris Brasher said to the team of testers that day "If you get a blister in my boots, I will give you a bottle of champagne".

As always, the boots delivered out-of-the-box comfort and the team of testers were grieved they never got that bottle of champagne!

High House was where the "Lightweight Revolution" started all those years ago and a perfect place for the brasher team to return to for the lightweight Lithium XCR launch day.

On the 12th January 2009, it was a typical winter's day in the Lake District and the brasher team met at High House for a product test day.
Everyone was presented with a belated Christmas present, a brand new pair of Lithium XCR's, a new extremely lightweight, fabric walking boot.

The team followed the same steps that Chris Brasher took back in 1986, and the Lithium XCR was put to the test.
As Ken Ledward led the walk with stories of Chris Brasher the team were enjoying the 5 mile walk and so were their feet.

We finished the walk back at High House with tea and cake, and as before no champagne was in sight as no blisters were seen, just like all those years ago.

If you would like to enjoy out-of-the-box-comfort from the new lightweight Lithium XCR, the boot will be available in-stores from next week.
