From 23rd to 29th May the Camping and Caravanning Club are organising national events to get more people involved in enjoying the benefits of spending time outdoors.

The aim is to get as many people as possible camping over the same period. A National Audit will record the number of campers on the night of Saturday 23rd May with the results being recorded on the ncccw (National Camping and Caravanning Week) official website which gives details of all you need to know to become involved in this event.

This years Isle of Wight Festival takes place between 9th and 24th May.

The island has over 500 miles of footpaths and 30 miles of fantastic coastal routes so there's bound to be something for everyone. With a choice of over 300 walks ranging from gentle through to moderate and brisk.

We all enjoy and know the benefits of taking fruit with us when out walking. But we all hate the fact when you bring it out of your rucksack, it is bruised, squashed and looks quite unappetising.
